Transparency Ethiopia (TE)
Transparency Ethiopia (TE) is an affilate of TI-s. It's a not-for-profit, non partisan, non governmental, membership based civil society organization that aims to fight corruption, to make sure that transparency and accountability gains acceptance as standard style of work in all societies. It was established and has become a legal civil society organization as of October 19, 2002 pursuant to the Ministry of Justice Legal notice number 404 and the associations’ registration regulations, Legal notice number 321/1995.
Prior to the establishment of TE, citizen's forum of the 1st National Anti-corruption conference was held from January 31 - February 1, 2003 at UNECA conference center in Ad0dis Ababa, Ethiopia. Over 300 government and non-government organizations, private sector, students, Notable personalities ,trade union representatives and delegates from Transparency International attended the conference. During its first general assembly, the main body of TRANSPARENCY ETHIOPIA'S leadership -its management board was elected and its officials nominated. At present TRANSPARENCY ETHIOPIA's secretariat is established.

TE HELD MEETING WITH ITS REGIONAL MEMBERS IN TIGRAY
Transparency Ethiopia, on the 4th of September, has held consultative meeting with its Mekelle Members at Milano Hotel. During the meeting four main agendas were discussed; namely, revitalize the vision and deliberate on the revised strategic document of TE, the concept of Volunteerism and TE’s membership, selection of companies and individuals for local fundraising purpose, and election of regional Advisory Committees. The meeting concluded with strong commitment to work for the greater vision and to achieve the goals set by TE.
TE HELD WORKSHOP WITH JIMMA UNIVERSITY
Transparency Ethiopia jointly with Jimma University held a one day workshop entitled “The Concept of Ethics and Corruption and the consequences of the crime” on the 14th of August 2010.
TE SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED NYIN IN TWO KEBELES OF ADDIS ABABA
Transparency Ethiopia, Launched National Youth Integrity Network (NYIN) which mainly aim to establish Ethics and Anti-Corruption clubs at Kebele level, the lowest administrative unit, so as to enable youth actively participate in at the anti-corruption efforts.
TE ENDORSED THE NEW STRATEGIC DOCUMENT
TE has endorsed new strategic document for the coming three years (2010 to 2012). According TE Executive Director, Eyasu Yimer, the new strategic document has included similar strategies and plans with the previous document, despite few adjustments being made due to the new CSOs and Charities Law.
