TE’s Code of Ethics is intended to serve as a guiding principle to its members. This code includes the following:

The relationship of work among us and between others should be governed by transparency, accountability and truthfulness.

Each one of our activity shall be clear from bribe, corruption and the misuse of entrusted power for private gain.

In discharging our duty, we should strictly look up to not only legal, professional, and ethical standards but should also assure to secure the trust and consent of the public.

Where as our social activity should be based on democratic principles, the measures taken on behalf of Transparency Ethiopia should not be prejudiced against any political standing or principle.

In any given place and time, we should demonstrate our conviction to resist corruption and the misuse of power.

It is hard to fight and expose the misuse of power and the practices of corruption without validating such offences with concrete evidences. Therefore, members have rights and obligations to involve themselves in every effort pursued by the leadership of TE for this purpose.

Any candidate who competes to hold leadership position in TE has the responsibility to ensure that his/her political position or outlook at the time of competition should not compromise the objective of TE.
